Sarah Arnold is a painter and substitute teacher residing in Long Beach. She came to paint on a clear, sunny Sunday afternoon.

"It's kind of hard to paint through the chain link," she said. However, the "foreground, the older buildings, the trees, the interesting background...the old L.A." are what brought her to this spot.

L.A. is a mecca for artists. Where juxtapositions of natural beauty and concrete slabs, Old Hollywood and its dilapidated remains, stunning views and chain link fences, merge and blend to create countless different realities for the people who live amongst it.
